Infant Development Program (6 Weeks – 1 Year)
At Wiggles and Words Academy, our Infant Development Program is designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where the earliest stages of growth and learning begin.
During infancy, children develop essential motor, sensory, and cognitive skills through guided exploration and intentional interaction. Our caregivers thoughtfully incorporate tummy time, gentle stretches, and leg and arm movements to promote strength, coordination, and early mobility. These activities lay the groundwork for balance, body awareness, and hand-eye coordination—key components of future developmental milestones.
As infants progress, our caregivers focus on building core strength, supporting emerging movement such as crawling and reaching, and fostering emotional expression. Through consistent routines and responsive care, infants begin to recognize familiar faces, form secure attachments, and develop early communication through sounds, gestures, and joyful babbling.
Our approach ensures each infant receives individualized attention that supports their unique pace of growth, setting the stage for confident exploration in the next stages of early childhood development.

Infant Curriculum Overview (6 Weeks – 1 Year)
Our Infant Curriculum at Wiggles and Words Academy is thoughtfully designed to nurture each child’s growth through consistent care, sensory exploration, and meaningful interaction. Every infant’s day includes individualized routines for feeding, diapering, rest, and play — all adapted to meet their unique developmental needs.
Infants Will Experience:
- Early Communication Development: Introduction to basic sign language and Spanish with Sophia the Spanish speaking Parrot the to support early communication and understanding.
- Sensory and Exploratory Play: Engaging, hands-on activities that stimulate the senses, promote curiosity, and encourage physical movement.
- Music and Movement: Interactive songs, gentle rhythms, and playful sounds that foster auditory awareness and emotional connection.
Our caregivers create a warm and responsive environment that supports each infant’s natural rhythm, helping them build trust, confidence, and the foundational skills for future learning.
